In a world socially and economically interconnected and interdependent, the imperative for every individual to develop a Christ conscious state of mind is clear:

And do not look outside yourself for the leader…

We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.

– Thomas Banyacya

The story of humanity is an adventure filled with passionate, faith-filled testimonies to the Eternal Absolute, a primal source that defines our ideals and values, our yearning for unity, and our inherent sense of our indwelling divinity. Whether a culture views the Eternal Absolute as pantheistic or monotheistic, as a powerful, personified natural force, or as a supreme being, the Christ always represents the most revered ideals of that culture: irrefutable Truth, unconditional Love, supreme Wisdom, infinite Freedom, eternal Life, and inherent, divine Unity, life without duality, the Alpha and the Omega of all existence.

THE WAY TO CHRIST CONSCIOUS LEADERSHIP is a five-step process for our conscious evolution, for achieving and manifesting Christ consciousness in our interactions with each other and with our environment.

Drawing upon the lessons in the Gospels and other sacred literature, as well as exploring the latest understanding of universal law provided by the quantum physicists, this step brings us to an awareness of the oneness of all existence and transforms the way we perceive ourselves and relate to others. This is the first and most critical step in becoming a Christ conscious leader.

We cannot say, “I hate my brother,” and say, at the

same time, “I love God.” Regardless of theology, faith

formation, or religious practices, we are all created

by the One.

– The Reverend Troy P. DeCohen

How can we become receptive to Divine Love in our lives, and how can we become a vehicle of Divine Love for others? Answering these questions is the second and vital step in becoming a Christ conscious leader.

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one

another even as I have loved you, that you also love

one another.

– John 13:34

Many familiar and ingrained habits and thoughts keep us tied to old perceptions of reality and block our ability to evolve consciously. Detachment from those influences that impede transformation and growth is the third and pivotal step in preparing us to become Christ conscious leaders.

A man who’s attached goes with his action,

to that very place to which

his mind and character cling.

– Brhadaranyaka Upanishad 4.4.6

Once detached from the chains that bind us, we are free to discover our life’s work and to discern God’s purpose in our lives. Making a commitment to fulfill that purpose and to continually transform and grow is the fourth and decisive step in preparing us to take action as Christ conscious leaders.

Those who serve other masters besides God may be

compared to the spider which builds a cobweb for itself.

Surely the spider’s is the frailest of all dwellings, if they

but knew it.

– The Koran 29:41

In discerning our unique purpose and answering our individual call to action, we can each transform our world.  In this fifth and final step, as we become Christ conscious leaders, we experience the personal fulfillment of doing our life’s work and the joy of contributing to a sustainable and lasting  global peace.

Our society has so many critical problems that it

desperately needs as many acting, participating,

internal-minded members as possible.

– Julian Rotter

GETTING STARTED: A Self-Assessment Exercise

As you begin to engage in the process of becoming a Christ Conscious leader, you may find it helpful to assess your current stage of Christ conscious leadership development.

To start, read the statements listed under each of the four stages below and determine which group of statements aligns most closely with your current motivations and perceptions.

The First Stage

  • I have no control over what is happening in the world.
  • I live in the center of a hostile world.
  • My main concerns are meeting my physical needs: food, shelter, pleasure.
  • My main concern is my safety and security.
  • My main concern is my survival.

The Second Stage

  • I find it difficult to cope with the world.
  • My main concern is gaining the approval of my family.
  • I want to succeed so that I will be accepted by my peers.
  • My main concern is building my skills and my self-confidence.
  • I want to feel like I belong.

The Third Stage

  • I must participate in the world and make a contribution.
  • My main concern is my vocation and my service to others.
  • My main concern is my life, my self-actualization, and my creativity.
  • My main concern is my independence and integrity.
  • I am concerned about personal accountability and mutual responsibility.

The Fourth Stage

  • I am a part of the world and am responsible for its well-being.
  • My main concern is advancing global harmony.
  • My main concern is expanding my awareness and wisdom.
  • My main concern is advancing interdependence in the world.
  • I value solitude, introspection, and contemplation.

After you have determined which of the four stages above most closely aligns with your current motivations and perceptions, consider what your personal goals will be as a student in the course, Becoming a Christ Conscious Leader, or as a client in individual consultation with one of our Associates.

You will have an opportunity to discuss this assessment and your goals with your instructor in the individual intake conference before beginning the course or before beginning a series of individual consultations.

Our problems are plainly growing beyond

conventional human control and consciousness

has no choice but to enlarge itself to meet them.

– Alan McGlashan

A Certificate Course

Offered Online at The Joshua Academy

The Indo-European root word for leadership is kla, meaning load. As this root word took on new connotations, it came to mean carry your load. In the emerging reality of leadership as the expression of the state of mind of each individual on the globe, carrying our load becomes an immeasurable personal responsibility, a responsibility that we cannot possibly fulfill without developing a new consciousness, Christ consciousness.

Designed to guide you on a path toward your own conscious evolution, Becoming a Christ Conscious Leader is structured to empower, encourage, and enable you to transform your motivations and perceptions and to enhance and activate your ability to take on vital, influential leadership roles in your personal and professional life.

  • Knowledgeable and highly skilled instructors with extensive experience as Christ conscious leaders, mentors, and teachers interacting with you throughout the course
  • An individual intake consultation with your instructor to identify your goals as you begin this process
  • An individual exit consultation with your instructor at the conclusion of the course to consider your action plan for the future
  • Dynamic interaction with a small, diverse group of professionals seeking new perspectives and new tools to solve today’s new problems
  • Exploration of traditional and current wisdom from a wide range of disciplines – from psychology to quantum physics – that will help you illuminate and define the challenges you are experiencing in your personal and professional life
  • A responsive, supportive learning environment where you can engage in identifying and relinquishing habitual patterns of thought and behavior that are obstructing your evolution as a Christ conscious leader
  • Guided introspection exercises for self-assessment and the development of action plans that will help you evolve, identify your life’s work, and take a Christ conscious leadership role in changing your world

This course is a game changer.

S.G., Career Consultant

I had become disconnected from myself, and my life had become routine. After completing the course, I no longer waste my energy on matters that are of little consequence, and my life is no longer filled with negative thoughts and feelings. I have identified God’s purpose in my life, and I am now taking steps toward fulfilling that purpose.

L.L., Hospital Adminstrator

I have had a growing personal unhappiness since January 2009. I was not fully aware that it was completely a professional unhappiness. Modern medicine tried "medicating" me, and that did not work. As time continued to pass, I still did not know why I was unhappy. After taking this course, I have a new sense of direction and am ready to parlay a 22-year career into fulfilling my life's purpose.

M.S., Scientist

Being in transition with regards to my employment, I needed to identify my “next steps.” This course has helped immensely in that process, particularly learning to rest in the timing of the Eternal Absolute and embrace the lessons I can learn during this “in-between” time. As a result of this course, I am now moving beyond my conditioned need for affiliation, and instead of moving toward the known where it is safe, I am moving toward the unknown where there is growth. I have to say, this was an amazing process! Really eye opening!

L.J., Executive

The universe does not exist ‘out there,’ independent of us.

We are inescapably involved in bringing about that which

appears to be happening. We are not only observers.

We are participators.

The Way to Christ Conscious Life and Career Choices

– Life and Career Transitions –

– Spiritual Growth –

Our life and career choices begin to take shape the day we are born. On that day, we begin to form our sense of who we are and who we should become through the reflections that we receive from our families and our communities. In fact, our families and our communities become our mirrors, and the way they relate to us begins to define our image of ourselves.

In today’s society, we also form our sense of who we are and who we should become through the images that bombard us from the media and the movies. Rarely searching inside ourselves to find out who we are and what our life’s purpose is, we allow our childhood experiences and and the people we see on television and on the movie screens to determine our dreams and expectations for ourselves.

And, so, we begin to desire other people’s lives – without ever coming to know ourselves.  We begin to want what others have without ever discovering the gifts we have. And many of us spend our entire lives seeking to be like someone else, to have what someone else has – convinced that we need what others have for our own happiness – and then becoming despondent when – for some reason – and we tell ourselves all kinds of reasons – we never can seem to become what these other people seem to be, and we never can seem to have what these other people seem to have.

The more people think that they are realizing the Utopias

dreamed up by their desire…the more they will in fact be

working to reinforce the competitive world that is stifling

them. But they do not realize their mistake.

– Rene Girard

The challenge of identifying and  becoming who we truly are requires that we take a step away from those early reflections and those media images that are shaping our self-image and desires and begin a process of  introspection and discernment that reveals our indwelling divinity and our life’s purpose.

At the Center for Christ Conscious Leadership, you can begin this process in a series of individual consultations, designed to change your focus and change your world:

Progress consists, not in the increase of truth, but in freeing it

from its wrappings. The truth is obtained like gold, not by letting

it grow bigger, but by washing off from it everything that

isn't gold.

–Leo Tolstoy

Today’s rapid advances in technology and unprecedented shifts in the global economy, along with the inherent human need to grow, all contribute to our facing the challenge of transition at some point in our lives. And as medical science increases our ability to live longer, this challenge becomes inevitable.

In individual consultations at the Center for Christ Conscious Leadership, you will be able to identify and maximize the potential outcomes of this inevitable life challenge:

To be completely honest with oneself is the very best

effort a human being can make.

– Sigmund Freud

Like the established career path that many of us follow, our spiritual path is often a continual reinforcement of established expectations, perceptions, and learned behaviors that are so much a part of us and our routines that we often are unaware of what we are doing. Yet these expectations, perceptions, and learned behaviors influence all our thoughts and actions and can keep us from growing spiritually, from becoming more intimate with God and more attuned to our indwelling divinity.

At the Center for Christ Conscious Leadership, you can embark on an individual process of spiritual growth:

I laugh when I hear that the fish in the water is thirsty:

You do not see that the Real is in your home, and you wander

from forest to forest listlessly! Here is the truth! Go where

you will…; if you do not find your soul, the world is

unreal to you.
